bone bones bones.......
well, a quick post today.
i bought a box of vampire counts skellies today. i play tomb kings, the other undead. i know, cardinal sin right?
anyway, i bought the box cause i'm sick of painting white shields, and this offers me a chance to do something different while expanding my army and its background.
in my army, quatar, the white city of nehekhara, is now ruled by a council of all the ancientt, mummified tomb kings of mellenia ago. one of the kings is not exactly from quatar though. he is the king of one of quatars "satellite" cities in the badlands, where it expanded way back when. when nagash's magic woke him up, this king (as of this moment known as "unamed") saw enemies around him. so he packed up his bags and moved his army/burial site back to his ancestral home of quatar, pledging his troops to the defense of the city but for a council seat.
as said, i wanted to do something different, so these skellies, etc will have green implemented into thier color scheme.

i couldn't resist.....
people of the interwebs, i present to you my first reaper mini EVER, callus darklore.
(thank you reaper mini's.com for the picture - he has a long braided ponytail and a cloak as his back))
(thank you reaper mini's.com for the picture - he has a long braided ponytail and a cloak as his back))
i must ask, as this will shape the fluff that will be used for this mini. does he look more asian/cathayan or kislevite?
i was very excited that i got this, as he looks much better than any of the GW wizard mini's i've seen, he was less than half the price, the last one on the shelf, and apparently as the kind lady at the counter informed me, OOP. :D

from the sands they rise
well folks, its been a busy weekend. there are a number of things i wish to talk about, so i'll list them.
- painted ten skeleton warriors with axes and shields
- possibly recieving a skaven verminlord for free
- glued skeleton heavy cavalry together
- made a lvling schedule for WAR.
painted ten skeleton warriors with axes and shields
-------------------------------------------------------------
this was an astounding achievment, as in 4 days i painted a minimum unit. my last unit of skellies took me twice as long, plus shields. i admit though that i could have gotten them done in half the time if i wasn't lazy.
skeleton warriors are the mainstay of the armies of the tomb kings, and i thought i might as well paint as many as possible.
vermin lord for free
-----------------------
a little bit of background info. the horned rat is the skaven (a race in the miniatures game warhammer, just like tomb kings) god, mostly ascociated with gnawing the world from inside itself, world takeover, etc. in times of great warring, a grey seer (the priests of the god) may call upon a greater daemon of the horned rat, a manefestation of his power in the literal world. this is the vermin lord. in the process of calling the verminlord forth from the horned rats realm, the grey seer soul is forfieted.
in the current skaven army book, the verminlord is not included (as it was before in 3rd edition), but in the upcoming rerelease updated version, there are rumors that this all powerfull being will be included.
i once owned a vermin lord model, but when i moved to florida its box was lost in a sea of brown cardboard, hence my search for it, or to acquire a new one. i recently came upon a fellow offering one for free. naturally, i snatched at the chance, and soon i will be getting my replacement/second VL!
glued skeleton heavy cavalry together
---------------------------------------------
this event is significant as i was deciding between light cavalry and "heavy cavalry". tomb kings heavy cavlry is more like medium cavalry, but they look cool, and so i took them. i gave them all leaf bladed spears, and can't wait to start painting them.
made a lvling schedule for WAR
--------------------------------------
recently i have been thinking about my status with mythics warhammer based mmo, WAR. i have only really played in the lower tiers, and i thought it was time to change that. so i created a lvling schedule. i took to the dark crag server, and off the bat made a warrior priest (healer), white lion (melee dps), shadow warrior (ranged dps) and ironbreaker (tank)
in this way, if i wish to play any given archtype at any given time, i can easily switch between the four, and simultaneously level each one.
WRAP UP
-------------
well thats it for todays update ot lazers, mummies, and tincans, till next time!
lord marcus, magos millitaris, tomb king, skaven warlord and bretonnian noble.

lights off and a reincarnation of thoughts
well this morning (currently just after midnight) and last night was wierd. let me explain.
we had a power outage at about 11:30 last night. currently i am the only person i know who can withstand the lights going off and not going into hysteria mode. i grabbed my knife (just in case) and my phone and sat on the couch, and started to think.
there were a few things i realized whilist thinking:
1. i have a huge backlog of miniatures i need to get through painting. to this end i have resolved to put a dent in the pile this weekend. also, i got my painting mojo back.
2. i need to get a job, and fast. even if i get a scholarship, i'm gonna need a backup plan. that and i need money to finance some projects for warhammer, including making some terrain.
3. i need to do research on colleges and scholarships. i want to be a journalist (actually a writer, but i don't think i'll be as prollific as i would need to be) and i need to find a good journalisim college/university i can get into. not only that, i might as well research scholarships, seeing as how i have heard there are alot nestled away in dark corners that few people care to explore.
i belive that sums up my thoughts for tonight. i must go to sleep, i have a busy day ahead of me.

japanese rock
Hey all. Funny thing happened today. I started listenting to japanese rock (l'arc en ciel, FLOW in particular) and i've found a couple things out!
1. it is actually pretty good. (If you can get over the fact you can't understand the words - i'm talking the music itself, and the flow of it, as such)
2. I like it. (wierd i know)
3. Ihe way they put together thier music over there is totally whacky and cool.
