from the sands they rise

well folks, its been a busy weekend. there are a number of things i wish to talk about, so i'll list them.

- painted ten skeleton warriors with axes and shields

- possibly recieving a skaven verminlord for free

- glued skeleton heavy cavalry together

- made a lvling schedule for WAR.

painted ten skeleton warriors with axes and shields
-------------------------------------------------------------

this was an astounding achievment, as in 4 days i painted a minimum unit. my last unit of skellies took me twice as long, plus shields. i admit though that i could have gotten them done in half the time if i wasn't lazy.

skeleton warriors are the mainstay of the armies of the tomb kings, and i thought i might as well paint as many as possible.

vermin lord for free
-----------------------

a little bit of background info. the horned rat is the skaven (a race in the miniatures game warhammer, just like tomb kings) god, mostly ascociated with gnawing the world from inside itself, world takeover, etc. in times of great warring, a grey seer (the priests of the god) may call upon a greater daemon of the horned rat, a manefestation of his power in the literal world. this is the vermin lord. in the process of calling the verminlord forth from the horned rats realm, the grey seer soul is forfieted.

in the current skaven army book, the verminlord is not included (as it was before in 3rd edition), but in the upcoming rerelease updated version, there are rumors that this all powerfull being will be included.

i once owned a vermin lord model, but when i moved to florida its box was lost in a sea of brown cardboard, hence my search for it, or to acquire a new one. i recently came upon a fellow offering one for free. naturally, i snatched at the chance, and soon i will be getting my replacement/second VL!

glued skeleton heavy cavalry together
---------------------------------------------

this event is significant as i was deciding between light cavalry and "heavy cavalry". tomb kings heavy cavlry is more like medium cavalry, but they look cool, and so i took them. i gave them all leaf bladed spears, and can't wait to start painting them.

made a lvling schedule for WAR
--------------------------------------

recently i have been thinking about my status with mythics warhammer based mmo, WAR. i have only really played in the lower tiers, and i thought it was time to change that. so i created a lvling schedule. i took to the dark crag server, and off the bat made a warrior priest (healer), white lion (melee dps), shadow warrior (ranged dps) and ironbreaker (tank)

in this way, if i wish to play any given archtype at any given time, i can easily switch between the four, and simultaneously level each one.

WRAP UP
-------------

well thats it for todays update ot lazers, mummies, and tincans, till next time!

lord marcus, magos millitaris, tomb king, skaven warlord and bretonnian noble.

  1. Oh dear! 4 characters, you'll never get to 40 levelling up alts :)
My suggestion. Pick a character, join a guild that is around the same level as you, and level up with them. It's boring doing things on your own, so a guild that also has some people your level (So you can do PQs, Scenarios, etc with them) will definately improve the levelling experience.
